I got a huge amount of confidence from the group including peer mentoring.
I found the programme really interesting and it was at a point when things were quite tricky here. When we did the gossip model – it wasn’t digital (technical) – it was cultural support. Having other leaders giving support. It made me think that if I am that leader who is the least digital in the organisation that is ok – I just need to give people tools to utilise tech.
The course cost time but I think that is short-sighted. To be around different people from different organisations, the benefits far outweigh the costs. I don’t think you can underestimate the value of a programme that has made me think about things in a different kind of way, embrace new things and not take it all for granted.
