Does data protection and/or the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) leave you feeling worried, unsure or confused? If it does, this one day course will be a great base upon which you can build your knowledge in the area of data protection and the way it must be treated and handled, including practical advice and knowledge to create Data Protection Policy Documents.

This one day course will help dispel some of the GDPR myths and clarify what you and your organisation should be doing to achieve compliance with the regulation moving forward. It will be delivered in ‘easily digestible’ chunks:
- background to the GDPR
- basic principles
- transparency and consent
- data subject rights
- security issues and data breaches
- privacy notices
- personal data audit
- data protection policy production

The intended outcome and objective of the course is for attendees to leave with a clearer understanding of the principles of data protection and the GDPR and provide sufficient knowledge to better navigate the path toward compliance via the completion and use of both the personal data audit and the ability to develop and produce their own data protection policy document.
