Aims & objectives

We aim to work with existing services to support people as they move from homelessness to a tenancy. We assist previously homeless individuals maintain their tenancy by: providing packs of essential household items; providing assistance with cleaning, decorating & odd jobs as required; providing a befriending service.

Job description

Main duties will include assisting with a variety of administrative tasks and giving clerical support across the organisation.

Assist with enquiries via telephone and in person at reception.

Communicate clearly with other members of the team.

Conduct yourself in a courteous manner when dealing with the public and your colleagues and represent New Start in a positive way. Any information you may be entrusted with relating to users of the service must be treated as confidential in line with data protection and other related policies.

To uphold the standards and quality of service expected of New Start.

Person specification

Able to take direction and work as a team. Well-presented, friendly and good with customers.

Additional information

Required to attend and participate in training related to role.
