Aims & objectives

We provide the following services: 1.General Advice and Information– provides advice on benefits, housing, employment problems and a wide range of issues. 2.Money Advice Service– offers advice and assistance when dealing with debt. 3.Welfare Rights Service - which offers representation at benefit tribunals. 4.Review and Bargain Box – our charity shops in Inverurie and Huntly provide vital funds for GRA's Advice projects and provide low cost starter packs/furniture to homeless people who have recently been re-housed. 5.Payroll services for community groups and small businesses.

Job description

The main purpose of this role is to provide office administration and reception cover to our team of Advice Centre Advisors and support staff. The key duties of the post holder include (but are not limited to):

- Answering Telephones

- Making Appointments in our Outlook Calendar System

- Welcoming visitors and clients at the Front Desk

- General Office Admin tasks including Filing, Photocopying and Typing

- Archiving

- Maintaining Office Diary

- Maintaining and Updating Case Recording Database

- Distributing and Franking daily post

- Taking Minutes at Staff Meetings

Person specification

Excellent Telephone Manner

Excellent Interpersonal Skills when dealing with others

Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Packages

Good Organisational Skills

Time Management Skills

Able to work on own initiative

Able to work as part of a team

Experience in the use of Database Software

Able to work as part of a team

Additional information

This post is to provide support to our Advice Team, and is aimed at a young school leaver with the opportunity to progress into a career in Advice Service Provision. We would like to recruit into this post for a 12 month period commencing in September
