Job description

Assist with planning and delivering daycare support to older and disabled members and their carers.

Providing befriending, escorting, and information to the members/service users

Assist with fundraising activities for the project to promote daycare service

Participate in client discussion groups and workshops

Assist with providing/serving tea, coffee and lunch to the service users

Assist with the uptake of social and leisure activities with service users

Assist and support service users to participate in various learning and support activities offered by the project such as IT and ESOL classes and welfare rights advice etc.

Participate in and contribute to team meetings

Share with other team members experience, skills and knowledge, which may be relevant to the team in providing service

Establish and maintain effective communication with service users and carers

Complete, file and communicate relevant and accurate records

Collect client feedback by using different tools such as face to face meetings, questionnaires and evaluation forms

Provide client feedback to the Project Manager and discuss/address any issues or concerns

Maintain confidentiality about service users, staff, volunteers and the project as a whole.

Follow the policies and procedures outlined in the Manual of Procedures

To assist with the promotion and marketing of the ASRA project and its services

Be supportive, respectful and empathic to service users, colleagues and visitors

Undertake any duties consistent with the overall purpose of the post as directed by the project manager or the management committee

Additional information

Ability to speak English and another minority ethnic language is preferable
