Job description

This role involves the safe use of construction and ground care machinery including: petrol power lawn mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and hand tools.

Other works may involve the safe use of hard landscaping techniques e.g slabbing, mono blocking, kerbing.

Full training on the use of all equipment will be provided.

You will also be involved in the delivery of commercial cleaning contracts in the local area.

In addition the successful candidate would be expected to work towards achieving their CSCS labourers card.

Health and Safety training will be given including the use of Risk Assessments and the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH).

Operatives will be working in the public domain and for commercial customers so staff must be able to operate in a polite, respectful and professional manner at all times.

Person specification

The candidate must be able to take direction from a supervisor, follow instructions and comply with Company rules and regulations.

We require the operative to be enthusiastic and self motivated carrying out all elements of work to a high standard at all times.

Candidates must be willing to complete relevant training to allow them to be competent and work safely when using company machinery/tools and carrying out expected tasks.

Candidates must be willing to work as part of a team and once fully trained, use their initiative to ensure that the team deliver excellent results.

Additional information

Employability training and support will be provided for the successful candidate for the duration of their contract. Shift patterns will be issued weekly and may change in line with contract work load.
