Aims & objectives

The organisation's mission is to be a sustainable community hub for the Irvine area, supporting all members of our community to participate in sport, fitness and healthy, active lifestyles, encouraging social inclusion and inspiring active citizenship. Our vision is to be the place where local people come together – the first choice for any community activity be it sporting, fitness, social or voluntary. The company's charitable objects are: A) To promote community participation in sport through the management and operation of a sports club and sporting facilities within Irvine. B) To provide recreational facilities within Irvine and organise recreational activities, where such facilities/activities are available to members of the public at large with the object of improving their conditions of life. C) To advance education within Irvine through supporting the delivery of physical education in schools and the provision of coaching programmes in respect of a variety of sports. D) To advance and protect the physical health of people living within Irvine, and to assist in the relief of ill health and the provision of health education for such people. E) To advance citizenship and community development by: - giving young people in Irvine opportunities for enjoyable and constructive leisure time. - enabling young people within Irvine to find new interests and to form effective relationships with other people through leisure time and educational activities.

Job description

The Reception/Administration Assistant is responsible for providing office and clerical services.

Provide office support services in order to ensure efficiency and effectiveness within the Office

Main Activities

-Receive, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages

-Pick up and log mail

-Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondence

-Respond to public inquiries

-Provide word-processing and secretarial support

-Maintain a clean and tidy office environment

Perform clerical duties in order to maintain administration

Main Activities

-Develop and maintain a current and accurate filing system

-Monitor the use of supplies and equipment

Perform receptionist functions

Main Activities

-Answer all incoming calls and handle caller’s enquiries whenever possible

-Re-direct calls as appropriate and take adequate messages when required

-Greet, assist and/or direct members, visitors and the general public

Support the Executive Director and other staff

Main Activities

-Assist the Board of Directors and other staff as requested

-Provide administrative services for the Board of Directors

Perform any other duties as required
