You will be employed by the Company as Caretaker and will report to the Centre Manager. Your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Carrying out daily check on plant equipment, e.g. boilers etc. and building maintenance requirements, report any issues and/or deal with as appropriate.
Undertake regular and reactive maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs,
Turning heating and lighting on and off at appropriate times.
Undertake reactive cleaning duties and replacement of consumables as required
Undertake waste collection, recycling and disposal duties as required
Implementing procedures to ensure that all Health and Safety regulations, fire safety, emergency and evacuation procedures are met including maintaining records necessary to create an audit trail.
Responding to any emergency needs (both in and out of office hours)
Ensure the centre is safe and secure at all times, this involves managing entry to the building, and dealing with and reporting any incidents appropriately.
Unlock the centre and unset alarms in the morning and set alarms and lock up in the evening.
Act as a key holder for the building and respond out of hours as required.
Ensure there are sufficient stocks of materials, e.g light bulbs, cleaning, lavatory supplies etc and reporting to the Centre Manager when further items are required.
Set up rooms in the centre and areas in the grounds for hirers/users, e.g. arranging furniture, setting up equipment including IT, projection and audio kit, display boards, notices and other signage etc. and dismantle and clear away afterwards.
Set up and test IT equipment and audio for presentations including liaison with users and deal effectively with any problems that arise.
Store all furniture, equipment and supplies safely and report any damage, faults, etc.
Assist with the preparation and clearing up following special events and exhibitions.
Assist with the provision of cloakroom and reception services as required.
Liaise with users of the buildings, clients hiring rooms, grounds or the whole venue and all other visitors to ensure their requirements are met.
Manage deliveries to and from the centre, including moving these around the building/site as required
