Job description
The Trainee Administrative Assistant post has been established to provide an opportunity for an individual to learn the skills required to provide effective administrative support to the team.
The post holder would support the Older Person Service which delivers 1:1 befriending and 3 social cafes. The service doesn't have administrative support at the moment. The Trainee Administrative Assistant would provide administrative support for the activities of the service which would include supporting our volunteers to administer out of pocket expenses and coordinate training.
The post holder will be assigned a mentor who will provide support and guidance throughout this placement.
Main duties will include:
• Answer incoming telephone calls and take/forward messages
• Process and distribution of incoming/outgoing mail
• Process invoices for payment
• Assist the project workers with Petty cash for volunteers and course participants
• Update knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office packages i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Assist with scheduling and preparation of meetings organising lunches were required
• Accurate input of data entry functions.
• Effective diary management
