David felt his own experience of both being a head teacher and supporting a family member with a diagnosis of ADHD and Autism could be used to help everyone. In 2016 he left his post as a head teacher and created The Learning Space, a place where he could put all his experience and empathy into helping and supporting young people who find life and school challenging. He has recently completed renovations of an old derelict bakehouse into an amazing Creative Space, which has allowed the addition of a disabled toilet and provided a space for many creative projects. Over the past few months he has raised funds to turn a wasteland area into an outdoor learning area and wild garden. David’s dedication and drive has created a place for young people to be themselves and for magic to happen.
