The programme is aimed at senior leaders working in voluntary sector organisations in Scotland. This includes Chief Officers and Department Heads, those with the authority to bring about real, active change in their organisation through digital.
We encourage applications from a diverse range of organisations and have previously worked with CEOs of national charities, housing associations and community based organisations. We are most interested in impacting on service delivery, so will prioritise applications from organisations delivering frontline services to Scottish citizens.
It is crucial to the success of the programme that a bond is formed within the group, and each session builds on the previous one. We therefore require all successful applicants are to attend all dates for their selected cohort. In addition to the time commitment attending face to face sessions, applications are expected to allow time for both preparation and follow up actions – for example taking a paper to the board about cyber security, or surveying frontline staff about their digital skill levels.
Whilst in previous years the programme has been fully funded, this year a charge will be made (£600+VAT). This charge is necessary to continue to run the programme, and represents a contribution towards the residential stay at the beginning of the programme and the costs of speakers, facilitators and resources through the six-month course.
