Introduction to the Scottish Governance Code for the third sector
Hosted by Scotland’s Third Sector Governance Forum
Date: Thursday 21 February
Time: 3pm – 4pm
Room: Dochart Suite
A new Scottish Governance Code for the Third Sector was launched in November 2018.
This interactive session will bring together governance experts and trustees to explore the 5 core principles of the Code – organisational purpose, leadership, board behaviour, control and effectiveness – and look at practical tools and resources to support boards.
The Code is a collective statement by the sector, for the sector, on what good governance looks like. It took almost a year to develop and is designed to work for all third sector organisations, whatever their shape and size.
It’s aspirational, a tool for trustees to reflect on and improve governance in their own organisations.
Come along to find out how the Code could help you and your board.
Please note this event is now fully booked!
