Hosted by Funding Scotland
Date: Thursday 21 February
Time: 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Room: Carron Suite
Pam Judson and Louise Downing, Grants Officer at Teapot Trust will give you some fundraising theory and translate this into practical tips and activities that make fundraising work for you. This will include information about online resources that will help you feel more confident and effective when raising funds for your organisation. You’ll also hear about the latest developments to the free online funding search Funding Scotland.
Pam Judson has over 25 years experience as a fundraising consultant and trainer working with management committees, individuals and staff across a wide range of organisations and social enterprises in the voluntary sector to strengthen fundraising capacity. In addition she assesses grant applications for some of Scotland’s largest funders. She worked with Louise on a Scotland wide fundraising training programme at Arts and Business Scotland to build the capacity of Heritage, Cultural and Arts organisations, supporting them to fundraise from private sources.
Louise has been fundraising (both formally and informally) for over 15 years. She is currently the Grants Officer at Teapot Trust; supporting the fundraising efforts of the children’s art therapy charity with applications to charitable trusts and foundations. Louise has a background in creative and cultural project management. She previously managed a Scotland-wide fundraising training programme at Arts & Business Scotland, with a focus on fundraising from private sources. She started her career in audio-visual production, working for a community media production company and she has been volunteering for the hospital radio charity, Radio Lollipop since 2003.
