Job description

Planning and organising play sessions with children

supervising and interacting with children during play sessions

reporting any child protection concerns to Development Worker

record attendance of children at sessions

work with team to gather evidence on positive impact of play sessions on children and parents

work with team to identify and source materials for activities

Person specification

An interest / knowledge of child development or childcare would be beneficial but more importantly a willingness to learn. Due to the responsibility of childcare a mature outlook and a patient understanding manner would be desireable .

Additional information

The playworker will be supported by the development worker . there may be a requirement to be able to travel to 2 separate sites within the Greater Govan area.
