CVS Falkirk & District is recognised by Scottish Government and Falkirk Community Planning Partnership (CPP) as the third sector interface for the Falkirk area. They have a primary role in ensuring the continuation and development of a vibrant third sector (charities, social enterprises, community and voluntary groups etc) in Falkirk.

Job description

1 To provide a range of administrative services including telephone, incoming and outgoing mail, word processing, updating spreadsheets, mail-merge, photocopying, shredding, laminating and filing.

2 To collate all incoming Saltire Awards timesheets and update volunteers' files.

3 To process requests for Saltire certificates.

4 To organise presentations, participation at events and meetings for the volunteering team to attend the Saltire Awards.

5 To undertake administrative tasks in relation to the database, in particular updating records.

6 To assist with the smooth running of the busy office including, for example, loading paper and staples into printers, ensuring the office is kept safe and tidy.

7 To undertake other duties as from time to time determined, in order to ensure efficient operation of the organisation

Person specification

Essential requirements:

- Good written and numeracy skills

- experience with Microsoft office packages

- willingness to learn, work as part of a team and help others

Desirable requirements:

- knowledge of volunteering

- awareness of health and safety in the workplace

PVG/disclosure requirements

Required - can start subject to a successful Disclosure/PVG scheme membership
