Aims & objectives

The Zone's activities include providing: play facilities and initiatives such as the Bellsbank Adventure Playground and the Go Play initiative, out of school care, alternative learning courses for young people (including NEET), and SVQ training courses, e.g. in Childcare, Playwork and Social Care. The organisation's aims are to: improve the physical, spiritual and mental well being of the young people of the East Ayrshire area through the provision of play, recreation, leisure and educational facilities. In achieving these goals, the organisation aims to:- 1. Promote and develop the public appreciation of the short and long term values of children's play, recreation and education towards improving the conditions of life for children, young people and community within the East Ayrshire area. 2. Examine, co-ordinate and expand the resources devoted to the provision of children's play recreational educational and leisure facilities in the area. 3. Carry on any other activities which further any of the above objects. 4. Provide a forum in the community where interested individuals, professionals, statutory bodies, commercial bodies, voluntary organisations, charitable organisations and other bodies can meet and co-operate in the development of services for achieving the above objectives. Though the original aims of the company have remained the same for sustainability reasons the company has now diversified into other areas of work e.g. employability and training.

Job description

Working within a small team delivering low cost garden maintenance and grass cutting services to older/disabled people living within the communities of Dalmellington and Patna.

The delivery of this project has proven to be a vital service within the local community the successful candidate will work with peers ensuring the delivery.

A knowledge of outdoor would be an advantage ,good work ethic and communication skills are essential.

You will work within a valued local charity who have been working within the local area for over 30 years.

This zone has been delivering this project for 6 years all candidates who have been involved have went onto full time employment or college .
