At FetLor Youth Club, we are passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives. We are currently recruiting for a Youth Work Trainee who is positive, passionate, and emotionally resilient, who has a real ambition to help reshape young people’s future through positive change.
We are looking for an individual who might not necessarily have the relevant qualifications and experience needed, however will have had essential life experiences in which could contribute to shaping and creating a positive future for young people.
As we have a dedicated training pathway to support inexperienced candidates, we will support you to build on your current life skills and shape you into a successful and creative youth worker who is aiming to act as a positive role model for young people.
The Trainee Youth Worker should be enthusiastic and outgoing, with a friendly personality to help develop our work with young people at our weekly Drop In Youth Clubs, for P3 – S5’s. Clubs currently run Monday – Friday, 3:30pm – 9pm (times and days may be subject to change).
We are also piloting weekend provision on Saturdays and Sundays, starting in January 2019.
The Trainee Youth Worker will be required to work evenings and some weekends (by prior agreement).
General administration & supporting us to deliver our social media strategy will also play a part in this role.
The Trainee Youth Worker should be keen to learn and develop and will be expected to commit to a course of study or to undertake training resulting in a Youth Work qualification.
