Position: Administration Assistant
Reporting to: Membership Co-ordinator
Location: Kirkintilloch with travel across Scotland when necessary
Salary: £7,737.60 per annum (£9.30 per hour)
Hours: 16 hours per week
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.

The Administration Assistant will have an important role in ensuring our members are kept informed and fully engaged in our day to day work. She / he will help us to organise events, respond to enquiries, post updates to social media and our website and provide day to day administration support.
This is a varied and interesting role that offers the post holder the opportunity to work in a fast changing setting and contribute to the development of this forward thinking charity. The post holder will be expected to carry out a range of tasks to set timescales.
SUSE will provide high quality training and mentoring to ensure the post holder gains the skills they need to carry out this role successfully.
1. IT and Social Media
a. Updating the SUSE website.
b. Posting to social media channels.
c. Supporting the collection of case studies and good news stories when required.
d. Communicating with SUSE’s suppliers for IT, website hosting and communications when required.
e. Supporting the creation of website and social media content that is engaging and informative.
f. Supporting evidence gathering activities such as member surveys.
2. Charity Administration
a. Supporting the Membership Co-ordinator with all aspects of SUSE’s administration function.
b. Carry out duties such as call handling, emails, and correspondence, dealing with enquiries and requests as appropriate.
c. Working to GDPR regulations at all times.
d. Supporting the Membership Co-ordinator to provide a secretarial function for the SUSE Board including organising meetings and preparing and issuing papers.
e. Undertake general office duties such as filing, answering telephones, handling routine correspondence, letter writing and emails.
3. Membership Services and Projects
a. Maintain strong relationships with SUSE’s members.
b. Support the Membership Co-ordinator to organise members’ events including training courses, meetings and the SUSE annual conference.
c. Perform any such reasonable duties requested by the Membership Co-ordinator or CEO which are appropriate and beneficial to charity.

The annual leave year runs from 31st March to 1st April each year. SUSE staff have annual leave entitlements of 35 days per annum, including public holidays (pro rata for part time posts).

• Willingness to participate in training and learn new tasks.
