The Forum's main aims are to bring local groups together to help improve the Airdrie & Villages environment and to positively influence the policy and decision-making processes of North Lanarkshire Council, NHS North Lanarkshire and all other publicly accountable bodies with a local input. The opportunity to directly influence policy is in accordance with the Local Government Scotland Act and other statutes, which places a duty on Local Authorities and others to consult on service provision at a local level. We are therefore an umbrella organisation encompassing and representing all Sector3/Voluntary Organisations at the highest level.
