SCVO – Community Capacity & Resilience Fund

The CCRF which has been hugely successful gives local community based organisations who are tackling the effects of welfare reform the opportunity to test out new, creative approaches, develop their workforce and add capacity all with the aim of having a preventative impact on communities, help combat social inequalities, promote social inclusion and support partnership working. The CCRF delivers funding directly to the frontline, providing resource and capacity to organisations with unique insight into the needs of their communities. The fund was specifically designed to be accessible to organisations which might not have the expertise, opportunity or capacity to successfully apply to traditional grant schemes. Since its launch in 2015 c £1m has gone directly to the sector and has had a huge impact on communities the length and breadth of the country with projects and activities delivering support around food, isolation, integration, welfare advice, family support and volunteer development. The CCRF has also enabled these small organisations to scale up their projects giving them the opportunity to deepen their impact and gather rich data and evidence to allow them to access other sources of funding.
